A little bit about me…

When I first became a mom, my own mental and physical health were stretched to the brink by systems that were never designed to support caregivers. Navigating a demanding career, recovering from two unplanned c-sections, postpartum anxiety, and the invisible labor of early parenthood fundamentally changed how I saw the world around me.

After more than 15 years in media and technology, focused on partnerships, storytelling, and building meaningful connections at scale, motherhood brought a profound shift in perspective. Like many parents, I felt the depth and beauty of pregnancy and early parenthood, and also how isolating it can be when support is thin or hard to access.

That contrast is what inspired me to deepen my expertise as a certified perinatal behavioral health coach with FamilyWell Health, mental health coach through the Headspace Training Institute, Birthsmarter childbirth educator, Fair Play Facilitator, and an MSW candidate at Columbia University.

I built The Way Station to channel my passion into meaningful support for individuals and families navigating pregnancy, early parenthood, and other major life transitions that is evidence-informed and grounded in my own lived experience.

Alongside this work, I partner with organizations in the maternal health and family care space as a strategic advisor and board collaborator. I currently serve as a fractional Director of Partnerships for Hello Nanny!®, a nationwide agency transforming how families hire childcare and household support, where I build and execute bespoke partnerships from concept to launch with parent focused brands and trusted experts.

Whether I’m supporting a client, teaching a class, or advising a leadership team, my goal is the same: to help create steadier ground and a clearer path forward.

  • "My coaching sessions with Kate could not have come at a more perfect time. I was going through major life transitions when I began working with Kate - 2 kids under 2 years old, returning from maternity leave, a layoff, and general feelings of an identity shift in my work and personal life. Kate helped me navigate these overwhelming moments by giving me resources, clarity, and community. She helped me find confidence in a time when I felt at a loss. She listened, adapted our sessions to the biggest priorities, and helped me talk through some tough decisions around career and motherhood. Working with Kate makes you feel like you always have someone in your corner to cheer you on and help you embrace new life stages."

  • "I found Kate through a parenting community when I was about 7 weeks postpartum with my second child. I had been laid off from my job and was already seeking support from a therapist and a career coach dedicated to supporting moms, but with Kate’s training in life coaching and perinatal behavioral health coaching she guided me in reframing obstacles and building resilience. She helped me take stock and get unstuck in my job search when I, as a career coach myself, didn’t know how to help myself. She sent me job postings that I was excited to apply for and shared resources in my target field. More importantly, I became more curious and intentional about meaningful goals I wanted to set between sessions for my own growth and well-being, especially during my postpartum period. Kate championing me through the ups and downs truly helped me lay a strong the foundation during one of the most difficult transitions and periods of waiting. I am forever grateful for her support that I can confidently say contributed to my success in landing a new role.”

  • "Kate was a warm and supportive coach through a period of identity and career transition. She did a great job meeting me where I was and always created a non-judgmental and safe space in our sessions for me to work through the issues I was facing at the time. I found her reflections insightful and appreciated that the guidance she shared was always actionable but never overwhelming. She also thoughtfully and proactively shared helpful resources and opportunities relevant to our discussions. I enjoyed our time working together and came away with a clearer sense of direction for my journey ahead."
